Preliminary death toll for 23/1/2013: Approximately 70 Syrians killed so far today.
The dead: 38 civilians (6 children),9 rebels, 18 regular soldiers.
-In Aleppo 24 civilians and 2 rebels were killed. The SOHR documented so far the death of 10 civilians as a result of the regime bombardment on the village of Keljabrin, northern Reef Aleppo, the dead include 5 women and 2 children. 6 civilians from the same family, a husband and wifa and 4 children (aged 2, 7, 9 and 11), were ...killed when a rocket fell on the village of Abu Taltal after midnight. 4 civilians were killed by the bombardment on Deir Hafir.The rebels were killed by Aleppo city clashes. A young man was killed by a rocket falling on the Souq al-Qseila in Aleppo city.
-In Reef Dimashq 3 civilians and 2 rebels were killed.
-In Der'a 5 civilians and 2 rebels killed. 1 man from al-Lijah was tortured to death after being detained by regime forces. 1 man from Tafas was killed in unknown circumstances.
-In Deir Ezzour 3 civilians and 2 rebels were killed. A family of 3 (husband, wife, daughter) from the province were killed by snipers shooting at their car in the city of Ras al-Ein, hasakah province, where clashes are ongoing between rebel and YPG fighters. 2 rebels from the province were killed by clashes in the al-Houl area of Hasakah province.

-1 civilian woman killed in Hama province by the overnight bombardment on Kafarzeita.
- In Latakia province 1 civilian from the city of Jableh died after his health severely deteriorated from torture while in regime detention 1 year ago.
-1 man killed by a rocket falling on the Jobar neighbourhood of Damascus.

18 regular soldiers were killed by IED attacks on vehicles and clashes. 4 in Aleppo, 4 in reef Dimashq, 4 in Der'a, 1 in Hasakah.

There are reports that a further 24 civilians were killed: 11 civilians, 3 women, killed in Keljabreen and Deir Hafer, Aleppo province, by the regime bombardment. 9 men killed by rockets on the al-Jazamati and Sheikh sa'ad neighbourhoods of Aleppo. 4 civilians killed by the bombardment on Harbanush, Reef Idlib.
There are also reports that several civilians were killed by snipers in the Hseyniya camp, Reef Dimashq.
The SOHR documented the death of 1 man killed yesterday by a sniper in the Yarmouk camp, Damascus.
