The worst kept secret is no longer a secret! I'm a daddy as of yesterday! My son is 6 lbs. 9 oz. and rosy and happy, and he responds to my Mongolian throat-singing (with which I've been serenading him nightly for months) with smiles and winks. The nurses, on the other hand, are like, "WTF?!" Mommy is doing well, already walking around, but currently sleeping. THIS is why I won't be touring as much for a while. There will be new poems to write, for sure, but for now my hands and arms—to say nothing of my heart—are full!
