Haima 7X MPV for China
When we first saw the Haima 7X as a concept car we thought it looked not too pretty. But happily, the production car looks quite a bit better than expected. It is a design you have to get used to. It takes some time. But then you will see that the 7X is the most daring car Haima has ever brought to the market.
And Haima needs a car that stands out because their recent sales charts have been going down, down, and down. Will the Haima 7X turn the tide? We...ll... perhaps.
It seats seven people and nearly five meters long: 4815/1874/1720, 2860. The interior looks nice with a digital dash and a large touch screen. But we also see a shipload of real buttons and switches, mostly on the center stack and tunnel. So the screen doesn't seem to have that many functions.
Power: 165 hp 1.5 turbo or a 195 hp 1.6 turbo. Very respectable numbers for Haima.
And finally, there is price. The Haima 7X will launch later this month and the company says price will range from 130.000 to 150.000 yuan ($18.780-21.670). That is not expensive for such a large car, even for China.
The questions is: is the low price enough to get buyers to the dealers? Let's hope for Haima it is.
